“FILRECV is a project I made for school in order to improve my Sound Design in my projects.
It was the first project I developed when I switched to a different course in my study.
It features on of many amazing artworks made by @cinnotomon and took roughly 3 months to develop from the ground up.
The initial visual version made in photoshop was finalized in roughly two weeks, however the Sound Design took a staggering 2 months.
I learned how to handle FL Studio and it’s plugins,
how to create audio from the ground up and how to mix it,
which took a long time compared to creating the PSD and VFX.
The animation process went smoothly and was finalized in 2 weeks.”
This project was developed alongside a collage project.

Visuals & VFX
Since this project was centered around a CORE project it originates from visuals.
The process was relatively typical for most projects.
I explore art on a daily basis, this time I ran into two pieces.
The image on the left side was the one I initially wanted to use for this project.
After finding the image on the right I was stuck debating which of the artworks to use.
After a while I decided to pick the right artwork and made it transparent.

The background started out as several images of trees that I captured.
I duplicated several layers, added other photos and applied different blending mode.
Eventually I started heavily distorting the background using several filters.
I also added a burst distortion which I embedded into the background.
After the base of the background was developed I started merging the artwork.
I started off removing the background and merging the burst I made.
After a while I merged both distorted layers of the artwork and background.
Gradually I was already experimenting with colors as I went on making this project.
